Andrew began his career as an Officer in the Scotts Dragoon Guards and the Royal Armoured Corp of the British Army, where he operated in a Tank Division in Western Europe assigned to several countries.
He worked in Toshiba Information Systems in the UK after leaving the Army. He then spent 25 years with Xerox International, where he worked almost exclusively in Developing Markets. He has lived and worked in Hungary, Russia, Egypt, India, and the UAE.
Andrew was the Deputy General Director in Russia, the Managing Director of Xerox Egypt, and the Managing Director of India, during which he navigated the businesses through the impact of major global events including 9/11 and the financial crises of 1998 and 2008.
He has had full P&L Accountability for all Xerox business in most of these countries while managing in often tough business environments.
Andrew has received multiple awards at Xerox for his leadership, cultural diversity and employee engagement. His pragmatic and empathetic style has enabled him to lead and implement business transformation including two significant projects to change outdated business models.
Andrew’s versatility has enabled him to work successfully in different cultures, getting often reluctant teams to see different perspectives and win their support to implement sometimes difficult change. His most notable successes include transformation of business models in Russia, Egypt and India, and delivering growth after years of stagnating revenue in the UAE.
He now works with clients of 4A Leadership in India, the United Kingdom and the UAE.
